GROUP FACILITATORS:

  • Deb Ruscitelli, MS, LPCC, LICDC, ICCS (Dayton, OH), Certified PT GF since 1996, PTC Team member – Leader Coordinator: Deb was in the first group ever to be certified, almost 15 years ago! She has also served as a PT Leader Certification Liaison and member of the Standards & Practices Committee since it began. Deb uses Parent’s Toolshop® in her full-time job as a therapist at Catholic Social Services’ Child Care Center. As PTC’s part-time Leader Coordinator and Clinical Supervisor, so she is also part-owner of Parent’s Toolshop Consulting, Ltd.
  • Belinda Long, BS Elementary Ed (Xenia, OH), Certified PT GF since 2011, PTC Team member – Speaker Coordinator: Belinda has over 16 years experience working with special needs children.  She served as the Education Director for a – non-profit agency where she over saw a group of teachers and volunteers who served special needs children individually and in group settings in school programs. She offers parent education programs in the Greater Dayton (OH) area and helps market PTC Speaker Bureau programs.
  • Sharon Pierce, BA Elementary Education (Defuiniak Springs, FL), PT GF since 2001 and GF Liaison: Sharon has been the liaison for many of our new Leader Applicants. She provides parenting classes at Okaloosa-Walton Child Care Services.
  • Mary Ann Linscott (Athens, OH). Certified PT GF since 2007: Mary Ann taught The Parent’s Toolshop® 1:1 with clients in the protective service system until her retirement in 2011.
  • Iris Strunc (Niceville, FL), PT GF since 2001, S&P Committee member since 2003. Iris has worked at Okaloosa-Walton Community College for many years tutoring remedial college students 1:1.

HUB SITE EXPERTS: There are two kinds of Experts on the hub site:

Country/Culture: These experts write articles for the hub site, like all Experts, but are also the PTC coordinator for their country, responsible for: arranging the printing/distribution of PT resources in their country; arranging for or doing any needed translations or edits to create culturally-specific Parents Toolshop® books; and will recruit additional GFs to replicate all of PTC’s services in that country, including any of the new niche-specific curricula created by the niche experts. In time, they may even have their own hub site with Experts from their country in target-market niches!

  • Trevor Farley (Wierda Park South (formerly Pretoria), South Africa), PT GF 2011, and Founding Expert for The South African Relationship Toolshop® and Author of MAP4Parenting – Creating-a-Memory® book, which focuses on parental goal setting. He is married to Sharon and has two adult children. He has 25 years teaching experience, and has hosted over 1300 families on parent/child camps since 1999. He has always enjoyed interacting with children and parents. He is passionate about making a difference in the lives of those he touches on a day-to-day basis. He has a vision that the hearts of the children will be turned to their parents, and the hearts of the parents to their young, so that the face of our nation, South Africa, can be changed.

 

The Following Experts write articles for the hub site that address the special needs of their niche market. Some also co-author niche-specific Toolshop® training curriculum programs that blend TPT teachings with special applications and issues specific to their target market. These curricula are available to any GFs who qualify for the Speakers Bureau and have expertise in that niche market, to teach in their geographic area — worldwide!

  • Millie McNabb (Pocatella, ID), PT GF since 2009, Founding Expert of The Christian Relationship Toolshop® which provides practical tools and tips for “loving your neighbor.” She is also the founder of Christian Values Legacy, which helps parents intentionally raise their children to become Christian adults.  Millie offers a parenting system seasoned with wit and the wisdom of raising and homeschooling four daughters.
  • Nadirah Maryam Muhammad, M.S., M.A., ABD (Family Psychology) (Houston, TX), PT GF since 2009, Founding Expert of both the The African-American Relationship Toolshop® and The Islamic Relationship Toolshop®.   Nadirah specializes in African-American Parenting and Relationships.  Nadirah is a Certified Parenting Expert in African-Americans Parenting and Islamic Relationships. She currently collaborates with a group of Parenting Experts from all over the globe that enables her to better serve families in her community.  In addition, she currently serves with The Escape Family Community Center for the prevention of child abuse by delivering parenting education to the community.  She has served as professor of Guided Studies and Psychology and an Academic Counselor at a local community college in Houston, Texas.  Nadirah has three wonderful children; one daughter and one son that has completed college and one son in college pursuing a degree in computer science.                                                  
  • Mary Conlon (Dayton, OH), PT Probationary GF since 2009, Founding Expert of The Business Leader’s Toolshop®.   Mary is currently the Associate Director of Related Services for the Office for Exceptional Children at Dayton Public Schools with the responsibility of supervising 80 professional staff members. She also serves as a district representative on the core team for implementation of the district’s student management system.
    Prior to her management role, Mary provided direct support to students and district staff as an audiologist working in the schools.  During her 23 years of experience in providing direct support to students, Mary spent five years researching and customizing effective communication techniques to use between two individuals. The foundational techniques used were tools contained in the Relationship Toolbox TM .  Mary then successfully honed her techniques for 18 years.
    Mary earned her M.Ed.degree in Educational Administration from Xavier University, an M.A. degree in Audiology from the University of Cincinnati and her B.S. degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Cincinnati.
  • Donna Tull-Cox, B.A., MSc., CFLE (St. Thomas, Barbados, Caribbean), PT GF since 2009, has two Expert roles:  Founding Expert of The Counselors Toolshop® (and “Therapists”) and  Co-Founding Expert for The Caribbean Parents Toolshop® website.   Ms Donna has been an actor, a playwright, a story-telling drummer, a workshop facilitator, a counselor and a pioneer in public education in the Caribbean for well over twenty years. Ms. Donna is known for being a practical resource with a ‘we-can-do’ attitude to any situation. She believes in reaching the client through establishing a meaningful relationship. Ms Donna is the mother of two and understands the importance of the relationship in helping her children and her clients reach for their full potential.  Ms. Donna is a graduate of the Parents Toolshop, and is focussed on enhancing the skills of therapists. She is also passionate about parenting in the Caribbean.
  • Chris Schmidt, BA (Cincinnati, OH), PT GF since 2011, Founding Expert of The Early Childhood Educators Toolshop® and The After School Care Professional’s Toolshop® professional training curricula.  Chris is an Ohio Step Up To Quality Approved Trainer.  She is a certified Trainer for the Center for Inclusive Child Care –Sensory Processing Disorder, the Business Assessment Tool, the Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scales and has Certified Training for the Ages & Stages Assessment Tool.  Chris is also a Certified Asthma Facilitator.
  • Marion Dyer, BCS, M Ed (Bermuda, Caribbean), PT GF suce 2011, has two Expert roles: Founding Expert of The Teachers Toolshop® co-branded curriculum and Co-Founding Expert for The Caribbean Parents Toolshop® website.  Marion has been working in Early Childhood Education for the past 27 years. She loves the energy and excitement offered at this level. Over the years she has tried many different additional jobs: teaching Early Childhood Education at the local college, been a personal trainer and a beauty consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics. Ever the entrepreneur she loves the challenge of learning something new. The philosophy of Parents Toolshop® fits nicely with her own about child rearing and parenting. There is a smooth transition of this philosophy into the classroom. Marion believes that positive energy is a must to happy healthy living. Her personal mantra: “The worse they can tell me is No!”
