To Download Files

  1. Place your cursor over the link of the file you save
  2. Windows users Right ClickMAC users Right Click or Control+Left Click(you should see a box pop up like the one to the right) 
  3. Select one of the following options based on which web browser you are using:Internet Explorer and Opera: “Save Target As…”
    Firefox and Netscape: “Save Link As…”
    Safari: “Download Linked File As…”
  4. A download screen will come up asking you where you want to save the file to on your computer. You should save the files to your “Desktop” or another folder you can easily find. Once you have downloaded the file, go to your desktop or the file you saved it to and double click the MP3 file to open it. This should launch your MP3 player or media player so you can listen to the call.

To Unzip Files

If you have a PC:

  1. Find the file on your hard drive.
  2. Right-click the file name and select “extract all.”
  3. If prompted, select the location on your hard drive where you want the files to go. The default will usually be in the same folder as the zip file.
  4. Check off the option to “show files” once extracted.
  5. When you click “extract” it will indicate it is working and when it is done it will show you the files.

If you have a MAC:

  1. Double-click the zip file to unzip. Depending on your settings, downloaded files may automatically extract to a new folder. The original zip archive will be saved; check for a folder with the same name as your zip file.
  2. Check the extracted folder to make sure the contents are not zipped. Sometimes documents and sub-folders will be compressed, and these need to be unzipped.

To Play Audio Files


Option #1 – Left Mouse click to play the mp3 and listen to it now 

Option #2 – Burn them to a CD to listen to later:

  • If you have a non-MP3-compatible CD player, burn the CD in “audio format.” One CD holds about one hour of recordings.

  • If you have a MP3-compatible player, burn the CD as a data file. You can fit dozens of files on one CD.

To Open/Read PRINT MATERIALS

The handouts are in a PDF file you can open, read and print with Adobe Acrobat Reader. 
You probably have this program already on your computer, but if not, you can download it for free at: 
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html 

You can read and print the PDF file, but might not be able to copy/paste the text from it.
